Kunal Bansal Leads Emotional Reunion of PU Alumni Through GMI Elite Homes
It’s not every day that a real estate project brings tears of joy and decades-old friendships back to life—but that’s exactly what happened under the leadership of Kunal Bansal, Director of GMI Infra. Through his compassionate vision, GMI Elite Homes has become more than a housing project—it’s a living tribute to Panjab University’s hostel culture, revived after 35 years.
More Than Just Buildings—A Homecoming
On May 4, over 70 former PU hostellers reunited to celebrate a one-of-a-kind initiative that allowed them to relive their golden hostel days. The theme, “Unbelievable: Dreams Come True,” couldn’t have been more fitting. The event was part of a heartfelt movement driven by Padam Walia and backed with integrity by GMI Infra, which signed on to the project on a no-profit basis.
Kunal Bansal’s Vision: Building with Meaning
With GMI Elite Homes located near IT City, Mohali, along the Bharat Mala Road, the project offers modern 3BHK apartments in S+4 low-rise buildings. Yet, it’s the emotional architecture that truly stands out. From nostalgic hostel-style meals to common areas designed for connection, everything echoes the spirit of a time gone by.
Kunal Bansal’s leadership reflects a rare blend of purpose and professionalism—creating homes where stories continue, not just where lives start.
A Moment That Will Be Remembered
The reunion, documented by DU Pulse – Our Youth Our Ubice, reminded everyone that legacy isn’t built only through institutions—it’s built through emotion, effort, and shared experiences. Thanks to Kunal Bansal and GMI Infra, those experiences now have a new address.
